The Annie Leibovitz Documentary is based on one of the most famous photographers in modern day. Leibovitz has had a huge influence on modern photography all while struggling with both the emotional and professional responsibilities that come with it. Since the beginning of her career, it is easy to see how she approaches every shot with a combination of technical proficiency and sensitivity. She has this amazing ability to capture the soul and essence of her subjects no matter who it is, rather than just capturing their image on a surface level. I feel as if her ability and passion to create in this manner speaks to her commitment to creating real storytelling. I found it interesting that Leibovitz did more than just photography. She was able to utilize her career and skill to question social issues. Her images had the ability to reflect what is actually going on in the real world. Her work has sparked viewers to truly see and think about more than just what they see in her work.
